The WWE wrestling organisation has signed a multi-year partnership with social media platform Snapchat.
The deal will begin with Sunday’s Wrestlemania event, which Snapchat will cover via its Live Story function. Mars-owned confectionary brand Snickers, Wrestlemania’s official presenting partner, will also serve as the WWE’s Snapchat Live Story brand partner.
Wrestling fans will be encouraged to contribute their own videos and photos to the Live Story. Snapchat will curate the ‘snaps’ submitted during Wrestlemania into a short video that will be made available to the platform’s more than 100 million daily users.
The Live Story feature will be used to cover a number of other WWE events throughout the year. The showpiece Wrestlemania event will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
