YouTube nets Bundesliga rights in New Zealand

Video-sharing platform YouTube has acquired live rights in New Zealand to the Bundesliga, the top division of German football.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the German Football League (DFL) said that YouTube will regularly stream live Bundesliga matches on Friday evenings.

In addition, YouTube will offer other Bundesliga fixtures in their entirety on a delayed basis in New Zealand.

The DFL added that the “unique partnership” also includes highlights clips of all Bundesliga matches.
