Ice hockey: US network NBC extended its deal for the rights for the National Hockey League for a further year, covering the 2007-08 season. NBC will show the selected “match of the week” live nationally on Sunday afternoons, discontinuing its present policy of showing three regional telecasts. The deal continues to be a revenue-sharing agreement, with no rights fee involved, but both sides are understood to make a profit.
