Football: Free-to-air broadcaster Chilevisión acquired the domestic rights for Chilean national team matches from 2011 to 2014 in a four-year deal with Chile’s National Association of Professional Football (ANFP), paying $16m (€11m). Free-to-air rivals Canal 13, Megavisión and TVN also took part in the tender process, although TVN opted ultimately not to bid. Chilevisión will pay about $875,000 per match played in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying (16 in total) and around $125,000 per friendly (a guaranteed minimum of 18).
