The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) has launched a request for proposal (RFP) from agencies interested in acquiring the media and commercial rights for the 2017 and 2019 World Beach Games.
The rights include broadcast, host broadcast production and sponsorship rights.
Bidders are allowed to submit proposals for the separate rights in the package. No deadline was given for the RFP.
The inaugural edition of the biennial World Beach Games will take place in San Diego, US from September 29 to October 9, 2017.
The winning bidders will support the ANOC’s World Beach Games ‘Digital Community,’ which will provide a permanent digital experience for each edition of the Games, hosting and distributing premium digital content across platforms.
Up to 5,000 athletes from all 206 National Olympic Committees will compete in about 20 non-Olympic events at the World Beach Games.
ANOC president Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah said: “We know that there is significant interest among potential sponsors and broadcasters around the world to partner with us and join us on this very exciting journey. We look forward to partnering with an agency or agencies to help us with allocating the commercial rights in order to ensure that we maximise the opportunities available.”
