Apoel FC, the reigning champion of football’s Cypriot First Division, has signed a long-term rights deal with CytaVision, the IPTV service of the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CyTA).
The five-year agreement will run from 2014-15 to 2018-19.
Under the deal, CytaVision has been granted rights to Apoel’s home games in the First Division and the Cypriot Cup knockout competition.
CytaVision also said that the deal includes rights to home qualifying games for European competitions. The company has similar deals with Apoel’s First Division rivals Anorthosis, Omonia and AEL Limassol.
Apoel is Cyprus’ biggest and most successful football club. In 2013-14 the club secured a domestic treble of the First Division, Cypriot Cup and Super Cup titles.
