The German Olympic Committee (DOSB) has agreed a three-year extension with public-service broadcasters ARD and ZDF for the organisation’s ‘TV 32’ contract.
Running from 2015 to 2017, the agreement was brokered by SportA, the agency that acquires rights on behalf of ARD and ZDF.
The contract provides rights to national and international events contested by 32 German associations across both Olympic and non-Olympic sports.
Wolfgang Over, chairman of the advisory board of the sports organisations, said: “This partnership for the benefit of the diversity of the sport shown in the media can now continue to be run.”
