German public-service broadcasters ARD and ZDF have acquired rights to the 2017 Uefa European Under-21 Championship national team football tournament.
The event will run from June 16-30 in Poland. ARD’s sports co-ordinator Axel Balkausky told German magazine Sportbild that the broadcasters would show each game involving the German national team.
Germany has been drawn against Denmark, Italy and the Czech Republic in Group C for this year’s tournament. Germany begins its campaign against the Czechs on June 18.
Sweden is the defending champion, having won the 2015 event, which was held in the Czech Republic.
