German public-service broadcasters ARD and ZDF have agreed a deal with Uefa, football’s European governing body, to show live coverage of the country’s men’s national team’s matches in the new Nations League.
The agreement, first mooted in June, will cover a total of 12 games between 2018 and 2022.
The Uefa Nations League is due to launch next year and, along with Germany, will also feature the likes of France, Italy, Portugal and Spain. The draw for the group phase takes places on January 24.
The SportA agency brokered the deal on behalf of ARD and ZDF.
