US cable television channel One World Sports has added to its football portfolio by agreeing a season-long rights deal to air delayed coverage of games featuring English Premier League team Arsenal.
Under the deal, which follows similar North American tie-ups with Arsenal’s Premier League counterpart Chelsea and German Bundesliga and Uefa Champions League winner Bayern Munich, One World Sports will present three-hour blocks of delayed match broadcasts featuring analysis and exclusive player and manager interviews.
The programming is set to debut in mid-August when the European football season resumes, with Arsenal allocated a 9pm (ET) slot on Sunday nights and the parallel Chelsea and Bayern Munich shows airing on Monday and Tuesday nights respectively.
One World Sports will feature matches from each teams’ Champions League campaigns, amounting to a total of 400 hours of content from the clubs. Additionally, all content featuring the trio will feature on a forthcoming mobile app.
As part of its expanding football coverage, One World Sports has already agreed to air all seven home games played this season by the re-launched New York Cosmos in the North American Soccer League.
