UK pay-television channel At The Races will continue to broadcast Irish horseracing events until 2019 after extending an agreement with rights-holder SIS, a provider of end-to-end products and services to the betting and broadcast industries.
Under the agreement, At The Races retains its exclusive direct-to-home broadcast rights to meetings from each of Ireland’s 26 racecourses.
The channel will continue to provide gambling operations worldwide with live online streams of Irish events as part of the deal. At The Races also retains its exclusive rights to exploit events in betting outlets around the world.
At The Races has served as the exclusive non-terrestrial television broadcast partner to Irish racing since 2004.
SIS in March extended a rights distribution deal with the Horse Racing Ireland and Association of Irish Racecourse bodies. The renewal runs for five years, from 2019 to 2023. Both bodies have ratified At The Races’ deal with SIS.
