UK public-service broadcaster the BBC has extended a rights deal with the British Basketball League and Women’s British Basketball League domestic club competitions.
The BBC will broadcast live coverage of 24 BBL matches and eight WBBL games during the 2016-17 season.
Matches will be shown via the BBC’s interactive Red Button service and the BBC Sport website.
Coverage will include the British Basketball Cup finals, Trophy finals and play-off finals.
In April, the BBC agreed to show live coverage of this year’s BBL and WBBL play-off finals via its Red Button Service and the BBC Sport website. Both finals took place in London on May 8.
The 2016-17 BBL season is due to begin in September, with the WBBL campaign starting the following month.
