UK public-service broadcaster the BBC has furthered its commitment to rugby league by acquiring rights to next year’s international series between England and New Zealand.
The announcement was made following Saturday’s World Cup final, which saw England lose 6-0 to host nation Australia in Brisbane.
England will face New Zealand in a three-match series commencing at the KCOM Stadium in Hull on October 27. The series will then move on to Anfield, Liverpool on November 3 before concluding at Elland Road, Leeds on November 11.
Rugby Football League chief executive Nigel Wood said: “We are delighted to have agreed a deal with the BBC to show all three England v New Zealand games and to continue what is a fantastic relationship, moving towards the 2021 Rugby League World Cup in England at which the BBC will make every single game available to watch across their channels.”
