Pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports, which is owned by Qatari pay-television broadcaster Al Jazeera, has extended its reach in the Canadian market by agreeing carriage deals with telecommunications companies Bell and Rogers.
Bell and Rogers subscribers will be able to view beIN Sports Canada as an add-on paid service with their subscription.
BeIN Sports has also been available to customers of the MTS telecommunications company in Winnipeg and the surrounding area since February.
In December, BeIN Sports sealed a deal to launch on Canadian cable and satellite television through a strategic partnership with media company Ethnic Channels Group.
A broadcasting, distribution and communications company, specialising in multicultural television channels for the North American market, Ethnic Channels Group holds the exclusive programming and distribution rights to beIN Sports in Canada.
