The Big Ten Conference US college sports organisation has said at least 70 games from its inaugural season of men’s ice hockey will be afforded television coverage.
A national package of 34 games will air on the Big Ten Network cable television broadcaster, pay-television broadcaster ESPN’s college sports channel ESPNU and the ESPNews platform, each of which is available to at least 75 million homes across the United States.
An additional 36 games will be carried on the regional broadcasters of the Fox Sports division of the Fox network. The Big Ten said broadcasts of additional games may be announced in the coming weeks.
Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin will all feature in the Big Ten hockey tournament in 2013-14.
