The Big Ten Network (BTN) is shutting down its BTN2Go OTT platform and will move all its network content to the Fox Sports app, including games, studio shows and original programming.
BTN is a joint venture between Fox Sports and the Big Ten college athletic conference.
The move was made ahead of Fox’s planned sale of the Fox Sports Go website and app, which follows the sale of 21 Fox regional sports networks to Sinclair Broadcast Group.
Fox Sports Go will become RSN-only, with all Fox network content, including that of BTN, migrating to the Fox Sports app.
From mid-August, the BTN2Go app will transition into the BTN Plus platform, which streams Big Ten’s non-televised basketball and American football games, as well as archives of classic matches.
