The Infront Sports & Media agency has appointed Adidas executive Sven Biner as the new director of its sports services unit.
In this position, Biner will be responsible for Infront’s sports services portfolio, including broadcaster servicing, live advertising solutions, sponsorship and hospitality services.
The 38-year-old will assume his new position on April 1, joining Infront from his position as senior asset manager for global sports marketing at the sports equipment arm of German sportswear giant Adidas.
In this role, Biner is currently in charge of managing and developing Adidas’ partnership with Bundesliga football champion Bayern Munich, as well as driving the internal LED and digital overlay task force.
Biner takes over from Thomas Lessenich who will now fully focus on his new position as managing director of the AspireInfront joint venture in Qatar. Biner will report to Uwe Ploch, a member of Infront’s extended management team.
