British Eurosport, the UK arm of pan-regional broadcaster Eurosport, and UK commercial broadcaster ITV have acquired rights to the British Cycling National Road Championships, which take place from June 26-29.
The British Cycling governing body said British Eurosport will offer highlights of the women’s road race and broadcast the last two hours of the men’s road race live on June 29.
The championships also incorporate the National Time-Trial Championships which take place tomorrow (Thursday). A full highlights programme featuring both the men’s and women’s time-trials and road races will be shown on digital-terrestrial channel ITV4 on Sunday and will be available in full on the British Cycling Events YouTube channel from July 1.
All four of the 2013 champions, Mark Cavendish, Lizzie Armitstead, Alex Dowsett and Joanna Rowsell, will be in Monmouthshire to defend their titles in a world class field that features numerous world and Olympic champions including Laura Trott and Welshman Geraint Thomas.
