British Eurosport, the UK arm of pan-regional broadcaster Eurosport, has agreed a deal for live and exclusive coverage of the British Darts Organisation’s 2015 World Trophy.
The tournament takes place at EventCity, Manchester between February 26 and March 1, following on from the inaugural edition of the annual event at Blackpool Tower last February.
Eurosport agreed terms with BDO Events, the commercial partner and exclusive sales agent of the BDO.
In September last year, Eurosport secured the worldwide rights to five BDO events – the British Open, Romanian Open, Winmau World Masters, Tops of Ghent and the Northern Ireland Open.
Pay-television operator BT Sport and public-service broadcaster the BBC aired the BDO’s showpiece World Championship in the UK last month.
