UK telecommunications company BT has agreed a two-year deal with the Football Conference organisation to broadcast coverage of the Conference Premier, the fifth tier of English football, on its soon-to-be-launched BT Sport television service.
The deal will commence from the start of the 2013-14 season and run through to the end of the 2014-15 campaign.
BT Sport will broadcast 30 live games a season across its channels, comprising 25 league matches, both legs of the two play-off semi-finals and the play-off final at Wembley Stadium in London.
Brian Lee, chairman of the Football Conference, said: “We feel that the prospect of showcasing our wonderful brand of live football to a potentially mind-blowing number of viewers can only enhance our product. We hope sponsors of clubs and competition alike recognise the huge step that we are now undertaking.”
