UK pay-television broadcaster BT Sport has renewed an agreement for rights to boxing events organised by promoter Frank Warren, which will include British heavyweight fighter Tyson Fury’s comeback fight in June.
The length of BT Sport’s new deal with Warren and Queensberry Promotions was not disclosed. Warren’s stable of fighters includes Fury, Billy Joe Saunders and Carl Frampton.
Fury will make his comeback at Manchester Arena on June 9 against an as yet unnamed opponent, with BT Sport to showcase the fight exclusively in the UK.
Through BT Sport’s new partnership with Warren, future fights involving the likes of Frampton, Liam Smith and Terry Flanagan will continue to be shown by the broadcaster.
BT Sport last month confirmed it will be launching a new pay-per-view channel, BT Sport Box Office, later this year.
