UK pay-television broadcaster BT Sport has signed a three-year extension to its rights deal with the MotoGP motorcycling series.
The new agreement covers the 2019 to 2021 seasons. BT Sport will retain exclusive live rights to the competition in the UK and Ireland.
BT Sport will broadcast all 19 grands prix, along with every practice and qualifying session. The deal includes the Moto2 and Moto3 series.
The broadcaster will also cover the British Talent Cup, which launches this year and is designed to serve as a stepping stone for young riders to MotoGP.
BT Sport agreed the new deal with Dorna Sports, MotoGP’s commercial rights-holder. Its five-year deal was due to expire at the end of the 2018 season, which gets underway next month in Qatar.
