UK pay-television broadcaster BT Sport has expanded a rights deal to show live coverage of the forthcoming Mexico City ePrix on March 12.
BT Sport already had a deal to show highlights of all 11 rounds of the 2015-16 Formula E electric car-racing season.
The BT Sport Europe channel will broadcast the race live, starting at 9.45pm.
Commercial broadcaster ITV, the live rights-holder for the series in the UK, said last month that it would be unable to provide live coverage of the Mexico City ePrix on its ITV4 and ITV4 HD digital channels due to a scheduling clash with the semi-final of the Snooker World Grand Prix. ITV will provide delayed coverage of the race as well as highlights on March 13.
Live coverage of the race will also be streamed in the UK via video-sharing websites YouTube and Dailymotion as well as the official Formula E application and website.
