Bwin sponsors Sportfive’s World Cup qualifiers video platform

Online betting company Bwin will sponsor the Qualifiers 2014 digital streaming platform that was launched by the Sportfive agency on September 7.

The free-to-view Qualifiers 2014 service provides live video coverage and highlights of European qualifying matches for the 2014 Fifa World Cup online and via mobile applications and internet-connected televisions. The platform will stream coverage of 155 matches up to November 19, 2013.

“The multi-platform experience allows us to further exploit the media rights we have acquired, maximising audiences and exposure,” Sportfive chief executive Shaila-Ann Rao said. “The digital media market is continually evolving and we recognise the importance of staying ahead of the game. We look forward to following the progress of this project and the numerous opportunities which it may create.”

Bwin’s sponsorship of the digital platform is part of a broader marketing deal for Sportfive’s Qualifiers 2014 marketing programme, which includes perimeter advertising at the European qualifiers.
