Campeonato Brasileiro Série A football club Flamengo will have its domestic league matches broadcast in Portugal after striking an agreement with Canal 11, the newly launched in-house television channel of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).
Flamengo is currently top of the 2019 Série A table and is led by a Portuguese coach, Jorge Jesus. The deal with Canal 11 commenced with Saturday’s goalless draw against São Paulo.
Flamengo’s matches in the Copa Libertadores have already received coverage in Portugal through pay-television broadcaster Sport TV’s rights deal for the competition and fellow South American club tournament the Copa Sudamericana.
