French pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus has acquired rights to the 2015 season of US motor racing championship IndyCar.
The 16 races from IndyCar’s 2015 season will be broadcast live by Canal Plus Sport, unless they clash with major sporting events.
Canal Plus already holds rights to Formula One, Formula E and GP2 in France, with French drivers Sebastien Bourdais (pictured) and Simon Pagenaud set to compete for KVSH Racing and Team Penske, respectively, in IndyCar this season.
The 2015 IndyCar campaign gets underway with the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in Florida on March 29.
