Caribbean Premier League bowls maiden US rights deal

North American sports broadcaster One World Sports has agreed a multi-year rights deal with the Caribbean Premier League as the Twenty20 cricket competition prepares to play its first matches in the United States this season.

The agreement marks the first time the league will air on US television and all matches will be shown live in late afternoon or in primetime.

The 2016 CPL season will run from June 29 to August 7, with matches taking place in the US at the Central Broward Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from July 28-31.

One World Sports, in conjunction with online streaming service EverSport.tv, will also offer a digital subscription service for CPL fans to watch the entire tournament for $9.99 (€9).
