US satellite-television company Dish Network has agreed a multi-year extension to continue its carriage of the CBS network’s various stations and cable channels, including the CBS Sports Network pay-television service.
Dish Network will carry the stations and channels nationwide. The company has approximately 14 million subscribers in the US.
The agreement also includes TV Everywhere and video-on-demand rights.
The extension will end a short programming blackout that began on Friday. CBS blocked Dish from carrying local channels in a number of markets including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami. The blackout only lasted for about 12 hours.
