CBS Sports’ coverage of the Dallas Cowboys-Buffalo Bills games on November 28, US Thanksgiving Day, drew an average 32.53 million viewers, representing the most-watched regular season National Football Game on any network in three years.
The game, won by Buffalo by a score of 26-15, was also CBS Sports’ most-watched Thanksgiving Day game in 27 years, and was also the most-watched program of any type on US television since Super Bowl LIII in February, also shown on CBS.
Fox Sports, meanwhile, drew an average 26.87 million viewers for its early-window Thanksgiving Day game between Detroit and Chicago, representing the best such early game on the holiday in three years. NBC Sports drew an average of 21.1 million viewers for the primetime holiday game between New Orleans and Atlanta, the most-watched Thursday primetime NFL game since the season-opening game.
The bullish ratings continues a strong TV story for the NFL this season. The league opened strong, and has continued to trend generally upward on the four networks that carry NFL games.
