CBS Sports picks up AAC college sport

The CBS Sports division of US network CBS has acquired rights from pay-television broadcaster ESPN for the American Athletic Conference college sports competition.

The deal will run for seven years, from 2013-2014 to 2019-2020.

Pay-television channel CBS Sports Network will show 25 men’s basketball games in the 2013-14 campaign, and then 30 games per season from the 2014-15 campaign onwards.

The broadcaster will also show between 13 and 15 American football games per season from the start of the 2014-15 campaign.
