Sports marketing and events company Emotion Group has appointed the Stockholm-based Commercial Sports Media agency as its adviser on the global distribution of the bett1Aces tennis tournaments.
The events will be held in Berlin across two venues and consist of both a men’s and women’s singles tournament. Players committed to playing in the tournaments include the top-10 ATP ranked Alexander Zverev and Dominic Thiem and top-10 WTA ranked Elina Svitolina and Kiki Bertens.
Edwin Weindorfer, chief executive officer at Emotion Group and the organiser of the bett1Aces tournament said: “The partners at CSM are very familiar with the tennis product and know the market place very well. We are very happy to quickly have agreed a commercial cooperation for this event.”
The tournaments will be held between July 13 and July 19 at the Steffi Graf stadium and on the hangers at the Berlin Tempelhog airport.
In the regular tennis season, Emotion Group organises the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna, the bett1open WTA Premier in Berlin, and two ATP 250 events; the MercedesCup in Stuttgart and the Mallorca Championships.
CSM has advised the ATP 250 executive committee as well as several Nordic ice hockey leagues and federation on its media rights distribution and valuation.
The agency was set up in 2015 by former executives at the IEC in Sports agency, which itself was heavily involved in selling international broadcast rights to ATP 250 events.
