Greek pay-television broadcaster Cosmote has confirmed the acquisition of exclusive rights in the country for the Uefa Champions League and Europa League European football club competitions.
The rights will cover three seasons, from 2018-19 to 2020-21.
Under the current cycle through to the end of the 2017-18 campaign, Cosmote has non-exclusive rights in Greece to the Champions League – with state broadcaster ERT able to show 13 matches per season – as well as exclusive rights for the Europa League.
Cosmote will show 137 Champions League and 205 Europa League matches over the three seasons, as well as the Uefa Super Cup season-opening match between the winners of the two competitions.
The coverage will be shown on the Cosmote Sport channels, as well as the Replay TV on-demand service and the Cosmote TV Go mobile application.
The deal was first reported by TV Sports Markets on December 11.
The agreement was brokered on behalf of Uefa, football’s European governing body, by the Team Marketing agency.
