Cricket Australia has signed rights deals in Fiji and Papua New Guinea for its national teams’ games and domestic Twenty20 competition the Big Bash League.
Commercial broadcaster Fiji TV has agreed a two-season deal for rights to the BBL covering the ongoing 2016-17 campaign and the 2017-18 edition.
In Papua New Guinea, Australian cricket’s governing body has entered into agreements with both free-to-air operators for the next two years.
Public-service broadcaster NBC PNG will cover Australian men’s and women’s internationals played in Australia, with its contract including the 2017-18 Ashes series against England. The contract marks the first time it has partnered with Cricket Australia.
Commercial broadcaster EMTV has secured exclusive free-to-air rights to the BBL.
