Canadian cable-television broadcaster CTV will stream live coverage of American football’s NFL playoff games and the Super Bowl championship match over the next month.
The live web streaming will be available via the broadcaster’s official website, CTV.ca, with CTV saying that the service will be complemented by up-to-the-minute game statistics, a live chat and other interactive elements.
“CTV is thrilled to give football fans another way to experience the Super Bowl and NFL playoffs,” Phil King, president of CTV Programming and Sports, said. “This complementary coverage ensures Canadians won’t miss a second of the action.”
CTV’s television channel and French-language channel RDS, which is also owned by the Bell telecommunications company, will show live coverage of the playoffs and Super Bowl.
US network NBC provided the first live streaming of the Super Bowl in any country for last year’s game.
