Sports streaming service DAZN has followed up its Spanish rights deal for the Basketball Champions League with an extended agreement for coverage of the European club competition in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The new deal will cover the 2019-20 season and includes live coverage of German teams exclusively in Germany and Austria, as well as non-exclusively in Switzerland.
German teams that will compete in this year’s BCL are Brose Bamberg, Rasta Vechta and Telekom Baskets Bonn. The agreement will begin with Rasta Vechta’s game against Poland’s Anwil Włocławek on October 15.
DAZN will also broadcast seven regular-season NBA games a week in the territories during the 2019-20 campaign, as well as the season-ending play-offs.
DAZN yesterday (Thursday) struck a three-season rights deal for the BCL in Spain. DAZN will provide Spanish fans the opportunity to follow the fortunes of Casademont Zaragoza, Baxi Manresa, Iberostar Tenerife and San Pablo Burgos during the upcoming season.
