Subscription over-the-top platform DAZN has agreed a deal with Italian Serie A team Inter Milan for the club’s in-house television content to appear online.
DAZN will now host Inter TV on its platform as the Milan side becomes the first club to have its channel carried on the OTT service’s platform in Italy.
Subscribers to DAZN’s service in Italy will have access to all Inter TV’s content, including daily news, live training and press conferences, as well as exclusive interviews with first-team players from both the men’s and women’s teams. There will also be delayed streams of matches in league and European competitions.
Inter chief executive Alessandro Antonello said: “The presence of Inter TV content within the DAZN platform is able to contribute to the growth of the two brands. DAZN is the ideal partner for this special initiative, because it shares the spirit of innovation that is typical of the Nerazzuri colours.”
The Inter announcement follows on from an agreement DAZN signed with Italian pay-television broadcaster Sky which saw the OTT platform launch a dedicated channel on Sky’s own platform which launches on September 20.
