OTT sports subscription service DAZN, Middle Eastern pay-television operator OSN and pay-television operator Fox Networks Group Latin America have acquired rights to the heavily-hyped crossover fight between undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and mixed martial arts superstar Conor McGregor.
DAZN has secured exclusive rights to the boxing bout, which takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 26, in Germany and Austria.
The fight will be available under DAZN’s €9.99 ($12) per month subscription fee, with the service still offering a one-month free trial for new customers.
OSN will offer the event exclusively on its pay-per-view platform OSN Sports Box Office HD. The fight has been priced at $10 (€9), which will rise to $20 from August 14.
FNG Latin America will cover the fight throughout the region, with the exception of Brazil, through its Fox Premium and Fox Sports platforms. Both OSN and FNG Latin America are existing rights-holders of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, in which McGregor competes.
The 40-year-old Mayweather Jr., who retired from boxing two years ago with an undefeated 49-0 record, will face the 29-year-old McGregor, lightweight champion of the UFC and one of the most marketable athletes in sport.
