DOSB New Media, the media arm of the German Olympic Sports Confederation, has agreed an extension to its streaming sub-license deal with the SportA agency for a swathe of German sports content.
The extension begins with immediate effect and will expire at the end of 2022.
The deal sees an increased number of German sporting bodies represented with the total growing by 11 to 36 from the previous 25.
DOSB will exploit the rights, which amount to around 300 different events per year, on its OTT platform, sportdeutschland.tv.
All rights are non-exclusive with Germany’s two public-service broadcasters, ZDF and ARD, which jointly-own the SportA agency.
