Digital festival and esports event organiser DreamHack has struck a multi-year extension to its rights deal with social video platform Twitch.
The partnership dates back to Twitch’s previous incarnation as Justin.tv with the ongoing relationship marking DreamHack and Twitch’s 10-year anniversary.
DreamHack was one of the first tournament organisations to team up with Twitch to live broadcast its professional esports tournaments.
Under the extended deal, esports fans will be able to watch all of DreamHack’s premium esports content live on Twitch, including DreamHack Open, CORSAIR DreamLeague, CORSAIR DreamHack Masters and DreamHack Fighting Game Championships. The content agreement includes live coverage in 13 languages, such as English, German, French and Russian.
In addition, Twitch will be the head partner for four of DreamHack’s festivals: DreamHack Tours, DreamHack Austin, DreamHack Montreal and DreamHack Atlanta. Twitch will also continue to host the Twitch Player lounge and the Twitch After-Party at DreamHack events each year.
DreamHack will be hosting 11 major events throughout 2018, with the DreamHack Masters Marseilles coming up next from April 18-22.
