Indian pay-television broadcaster DSport has acquired rights for the ESL India Premiership esports competition.
ESL India is a joint venture between Turtle Entertainment’s Electronic Sports League and India-based gaming services provider Nodwin Gaming.
DSport, which is operated by media and entertainment company Discovery Communications, agreed the deal directly with Nodwin Gaming.
DSport will show 90 minutes of coverage on a daily basis, starting immediately and running until December.
As part of the deal, DSport will broadcast coverage of the ‘Counter Strike: Global Offensive’ competition, which will feature more than 10,000 gamers from South Asia.
