South African commercial broadcaster E.tv has acquired rights for the Uefa Champions League, Europe’s top club football tournament, in a three-year deal, from 2012-13 to 2014-15.
E.tv will show the best Tuesday night game every match week on free-to-air television followed by a highlights programme. E.tv will also broadcast the Champions League final live.
The rights will also be exploited on the E.tv website and on mobile platforms.
The deal was brokered by the Team Marketing agency, the global rights sales agent for the competition, which is organised by Uefa, football’s European governing body.
