Edgesport moves into Europe through M7 deal

The IMG Media agency has signed a long-term multi-platform distribution agreement with European television provider M7 Group which will result in action sports and lifestyle channel Edgesport being afforded a platform on the continent.

Edgesport will be carried via M7-owned DTH platforms CanalDigitaal in the Netherlands, TV Vlaanderen in Flanders and Skylink in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In addition, the channel will be available to subscribers of Online.nl, M7’s new IPTV platform for the Netherlands.

Established two years ago, Edgesport is currently broadcast in 14 territories across Asia and reaches approximately 300 million households. Edgesport coverage includes the World Snowboard Tour, Bowl-a-Rama Skateboarding, BMX Supercross World Cup, PKRA Kiteboarding World Tour and surfing’s ASP World Championship Tour.
