International sports broadcaster Eleven Sports has agreed a sublicensing deal for rights in Poland to domestic speedway competition the Ekstraliga.
The deal has been agreed with Polish pay-television operator NC Plus and covers the three Ekstraliga seasons spanning 2019 to 2021.
Eleven will sublicense two live meetings every Friday, while Sunday events will remain on the nSport Plus channel. This means NC Plus and Eleven will show 56 matches of the regular season, with Eleven offering 28 of these along with select play-off matches.
The Ekstraliga is considered one of the world’s strongest speedway leagues and its addition further bolsters Eleven’s coverage of the sport in Poland. The broadcaster already holds rights to selected matches involving the Polish national team, the Swedish Elitserien and the UK’s Speedway Premiership.
