Greek public-service broadcaster ERT has agreed a deal to broadcast the 2019-20 Basketball Champions League.
ERT has taken over from pay-television broadcaster Nova which previously held the rights in a three-year deal between 2016-17 and 2018-19. Three Greek teams are involved in the competition this season, namely AEK Athens, Peristeri and PAOK.
Nova sublicensed a portion of the rights out to ERT in the previous deal, including the Final Four phase of the competition, though it now appears that ERT has taken on the property as a whole.
Earlier this year, Nova extended its deal for the rights to the EuroLeague and EuroCup tournaments until the end of the 2022-23 season.
Elsewhere in Europe, new Basketball Champions League rights deals were recently signed with Canal Plus (in France) and DAZN (in German-speaking countries and Spain).
