ESPN agrees multi-territory deal for MMA Legend series

Disney-owned pay-television broadcaster ESPN acquired media rights for The Legend Fighting Championship, a Hong-Kong based mixed martial arts series, in Asia, Oceania, the Indian sub-continent, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The deal extends an existing deal ESPN has covering North America and a number of Asia-Pacific territories.

The Championship, which invites fighters from across the Asia-Pacific region to compete in Hong Kong, is backed by CA Media, the Asia-Pacific investment vehicle of media investment companies the Chernin Group, and Diamond Ridge Ventures.
