US cable-television sports broadcaster ESPN has acquired rights for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations football tournament.
The ESPN3.com streaming website will provide live coverage of all of the national team tournament fixtures, and Spanish-language channel ESPN Deportes will provide delayed coverage of the semi-finals on February 6 and the final on February 10.
ESPN’s other platforms will also be able to show highlights of the competition.
The deal was announced hours before the tournament kicked off on Saturday.
