Sports broadcaster ESPN has launched a dedicated North American Soccer League channel on its digital streaming service ESPN Player.
The channel will stream a minimum of 130 live matches during the 2015 season of North America’s second-tier football club competition to viewers in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Nine NASL clubs – Atlanta Silverbacks, Carolina RailHawks, Fort Lauderdale Strikers, Indy Eleven, Jacksonville Armada FC, Minnesota United FC, New York Cosmos, San Antonio Scorpions, and Tampa Bay Rowdies – will have all 15 of their regular season home matches broadcast live on ESPN Player.
The launch comes after ESPN last month extended its rights with the NASL for the 2015 season.
The deal covered the broadcast of at least 120 live matches across various ESPN platforms in 75 countries.
