OneSoccer extends Liga MX rights deal through 2021-22

OneSoccer, Mediapro’s over-the-top sports streaming service in Canada, has extended its media rights agreement with LigaMX for two further seasons, through the 2021-22 season.

As part of the deal, OneSoccer will gain exclusive live coverage of two matches per week of Mexico’s top-flight league. They will be of the home games of seven clubs: Club América, Cruz Azul, UANL Tigres, Necaxa, UNAM Pumas, Toluca, and FC Juárez.

Coverage begins on July 24 with the opening weekend of Torneo Guard1anes 2020, the newly-rebranded Torneo Apertura, which runs through to December. Terms were not disclosed.

MediaPro Canada, the long-term media partner of Canadian Soccer Business and the Canadian Premier League (CPL), first partnered with Liga MX in 2019.
