ESPN viewership leans heavily on Premier League

The six Premier League matches it has shown so far this season are by a distance its six most-watched programmes, drawing an average audience of 468,000 viewers and a 3.5-per-cent audience share.

Only one other event has attracted more than 100,000 viewers to ESPN, last week’s Europa League match between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Celtic, with 123,000. Scottish Premier League (SPL) matches, Italy’s Serie A and the Ultimate Fighting Championship also feature in ESPN’s top 20 audiences so far.
