Pan-European sports broadcaster Eurosport and the IMG Media agency have agreed a joint five-year rights partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association, the governing body of tennis in the UK.
IMG Media and Eurosport will distribute rights relating to LTA-run tournaments outside of the UK across all media platforms. The events package includes the men’s ATP Tour event at Queen’s Club, London and the International Championships at Devonshire Park, Eastbourne – the latter featuring events from both the ATP Tour and the women’s WTA counterpart.
The deal, which will run from 2014 to 2018, also includes the new WTA event to be held in Nottingham from 2015, during the newly formed three-week gap for grass court tennis between the French Open and Wimbledon grand slam tournaments.
Eurosport will continue to broadcast LTA tournaments across its pan-European network, while IMG will manage media-rights distribution outside of Europe.
